The idea behind MIM is simple and demanding: that the mineral wealth of the DRC should be developed with Congolese leadership, international standards and lasting benefit for the regions where it lies. We are an emerging initiative, and we say so plainly.

The registered entity's primary activity has historically been waste collection, depollution and waste management. MIM represents a proposed expansion of ambition towards responsible mineral development. It does not currently hold mining titles or licences, and any future activity will follow the full legal and regulatory process of the DRC Mining Code.
